Danny began rowing in 2003 as a freshman at Leon High School under Brett Tillotson and won a gold medal at the State Championship that year. He rowed under Dan Newman on the varsity team, winning two more State Championships in the men’s 2nd varsity his sophomore and junior year. During his senior year, he rowed in the varsity 8, which took 3rd. Danny has lived in Tallahassee his entire life, and after graduation from Leon High School decided to remain in town and attend Florida State University. He is currently pursuing dual degrees in Psychology and Child and Family Sciences. Danny has been coaching with Capital City Rowing since 2008 first as an assistant, helping with the middle and varsity programs, and novice coaching.
